Config Licensing Terms

Definitions

  • “Configs” means the configuration files and related digital content purchased from me.

  • “Setup” means any paid resource or product you sell that includes one or more of my Configs.

  • “License Credits” means prepaid usage rights that allow you to sell copies of a Setup that includes my Configs. One credit equals permission to sell one copy of a Setup containing at least one Config.

  • “You” means the individual or entity purchasing Configs or License Credits.

Introduction

  • When you purchase License Credits, you receive a non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use my Configs in your own paid Setups, subject to these Terms.

  • This license only covers digital Setups you sell on platforms I approve (for example, BuiltByBit, unless otherwise agreed in writing).

  • You may use my Configs in multiple Setups, but each sold copy of any Setup that includes X Config's consumes X License Credits. Eg: 2 configs in one setup, consumes 2 credits on purchase. But 1 config in a setup will only consume 1.

1. License Credits

  • You must hold enough unused License Credits to cover the total number of Setup copies sold that include my Configs.

  • Each time you sell a copy of a Setup that includes one or more Configs, one License Credit is deemed used and cannot be re‑used or refunded.

  • When your credits are low or exhausted, you must purchase additional License Credits before selling more copies of any Setup using my Configs.

  • License Credits are tied to your account and may not be resold, transferred, or shared with third parties without my written permission.

2. Permitted & Prohibited use

You may:

  • Modify Configs privately to fit your Setup (for example, adjusting messages or minor settings).

  • Include modified versions of the Configs in your paid Setup, provided you still comply with these Terms.

  • Market your Setup as including my Configs, as long as you do not claim authorship of the original work.

You may not:

  • Resell or distribute the Configs as a standalone product, free or paid.

  • Share, leak, or redistribute the Configs or my download links outside of your compiled Setup.

  • Claim that you are the original creator or owner of the Configs.

  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the License Credit system (for example, by attempting to under‑report sales).

3. Intellectual property

  • All rights, title, and interest in and to the Configs remain with me.

  • You receive a limited license to use the Configs under these Terms; you do not own the Configs or any related IP.

  • Any derivative work you create using the Configs still incorporates my underlying IP; your license to distribute those derivatives is conditioned on following these Terms.

4. Termination

  • I may suspend or terminate your license immediately if you:

    • Breach these Terms;

    • Engage in fraud, chargebacks, or intentionally attempting to under‑report sales

    • Use the Configs in a way that could damage my reputation or violate applicable law.

  • On termination, you must stop selling any Setups that include my Configs, you must remove my Configs from your products, and remove any download history that includes my Configs

  • Termination does not entitle you to a refund of unused License Credits.

5. Refunds and chargebacks

  • All sales of Configs and License Credits are final and non‑refundable.

  • If a payment is disputed or charged back, your license and any remaining License Credits may be suspended until the dispute is resolved.

6. Updates and support

  • From time to time, I may release updates or improvements to the Configs. Access to updates is not guaranteed and may be subject to additional terms or fees.

  • Support for the configs is not to be provided by me. It will be included with the sale of your Setup.

7. Changes to these Terms

  • I may update these Terms from time to time. The most recent version will always apply to new purchases and renewals of License Credits.

  • If a material change affects your existing usage significantly, I will aim to give reasonable notice (for example, via BuiltByBit or Discord) so you can review the new Terms.
