Editing Crate Information

Explaination on how to edit the crate rewards on Atomatrix Server Setups

The crates in all Server Setups (except Free for All & Easy Hub, which don't use crates) use the plugin ExcellentCrates. Although you can edit the crates in the config files, for most tasks the easiest way is to use the in-game editor.

It's extremely self-explanatory to use, and can be opened using the command /crate editor. It's also worth mentioning that ExcellentCrates have their own documentation, that you may want to to reference too, you can find that here.

Changing Crate Rewards/Chances

When in the crate editor, click on "Crates" and choose a crate to edit rewards for. You can then click the "Rewards" item at the bottom of the GUI to add rewards or edit the chances.

Explaining Reward Weighting

The chances are weighted numbers, so they don't have to add up to 100%. The plugin will do that for you.

For example, if the chance to roll a Diamond is 8 and the chance to roll Netherite is 4, then you'd be twice as likely to roll the Diamond over the Netherite. The same chances would work for 16 and 8, and also dependent on the weight of the other items in the crate.

Move a crate in the world

To move a crate, you'll want to first find it in the crate editor. Then click on the "Placement" item (near the bottom) and remove the assigned block. This will remove your crate from the world. Once you've built your new position and block for the crate, you can then come back to this part of the menu to add a new assigned block, then follow the process to click on the block you'd like to become the crate.

Changing the Crate Hologram

To change the hologram that shows just above the crate in the world, you'll need to edit this in the config file. You can find this in /plugins/ExcellentCrates/config.yml. If you scroll down the file a bit, you should be able to find the text that holds the holograms in it.

The way these holograms work is that they each have an ID, defined by the key in the YML format. If you change this key, you'll also need to change the crate's hologram ID in the crate editor.
